Why Gestr
Your own website. Your own guest relationships.
Keep Airbnb for discovery and the first booking. Use your own site to build your name, receive direct enquiries and make it easier for previous guests to find you again. Gestr builds the site from the link you already have, in four languages.
- Keep more of the income
Direct bookings avoid Airbnb's platform fee. Payment, insurance and administration may still have costs.
- Your guests, your list
Guests can contact you directly through your own site. That makes it easier to maintain the relationship after their stay.
- Found by Google AND AI
We structure the site so search engines and AI services can read and cite information about your property.
- Keep Airbnb
Airbnb can bring the first booking. Your own site helps previous guests find you again and can send them to your Airbnb listing if they prefer to book there.
Among the first 50 hosts. Locked price.
The AI butler
Send the link. The butler builds the whole site.
Paste your Airbnb link. The Gestr butler pulls photos, text and calendar — and builds your site while you chat.
Join the VIP list — we'll build your draft first.
Your brand, your guests.
Send us the link to your Airbnb listing. We build a draft with your photos and your story in your guests' languages. Keep Airbnb as a sales channel, and use your own site for direct enquiries and returning guests. You do not pay Airbnb's platform fee on bookings made directly with you. Payment, insurance and administration may still have costs.
- Keep Airbnb as a sales channel
- Make it easier for guests to return
- Become visible on Google and readable by AI

Visibility
Guests no longer ask Google alone.
Guests use both search engines and AI services to describe the holiday they are looking for. An open site with clear information about the property, its location and booking options allows those services to read and cite the information. It does not guarantee a recommendation.

Holiday home near Legoland for four people in week 28. Where can I see price and availability?
A good match:
Northern Lights Cabin, Kvaløya
Four beds, ten minutes from Legoland and clear information about price and availability. On the property's own site, the guest can learn more and send a direct enquiry.
northernlights-tromso.noAn example of how a cabin near Tromsø can be found.
Why
Every week costs you money you never see.
Not because the house is not good enough. Because everything the guest sees belongs to someone else. An agency takes its commission, and the fees are added on top of the guest's price. The guest pays more for exactly the same week, and you get less. They slept in your bed and praised your house. You get neither their email nor their next booking.
25–40 % goes before you get yours
The agency's cut plus the fees on top. The guest pays more and you get less for exactly the same week.
The guests aren't yours
They slept in your bed, praised your house — and you don't have their email. Next year you start from zero.
You drown among 2,000 identical homes
“Cabin by the coast” looks like every other one. Without your own name and site, nothing is yours.
The shoulder season sits empty
Anglers, couples without kids, people who want to work from the house — they exist. They just never find you.

Why now
The guest asks an AI. Can it read your site?
When a guest describes a holiday in everyday language, search engines and AI services can retrieve answers from open sites with clear information. Your own site gives the property a name, an address on the web and readable content. That makes it available as a source, but does not guarantee a particular ranking or recommendation.
AI can compare clear information
Price, location, facilities and availability must be clear before a service can use them in an answer.
Clear data makes the property understandable
Specific descriptions, real photos and current information give both guests and digital services a better basis.
Your own site builds recognition
A name, a domain and one consistent presentation make it easier for guests to recognise the property and find it again.
The guest chooses where to book
Show both the option to contact you directly and the Airbnb link. The guest can then choose the route that suits them best.
Keep Airbnb as a channel for new guests. Use your own site to build your name, receive direct enquiries and make it easier to return.
Sound familiar?
Is this you?
The hosts we build for have one house and a completely different job. Hanne rents out fifteen weeks a year on the coast. Bengt and Karin have a stuga in Småland and no appetite for computers. Mikkel has three cabins in the Norwegian fjords. What they share is that their time should go to the house and the guests, not to a website.
Hanne, 58
One house by the coast, 15 weeks a year.
One small task a week. She says yes.
The host with a reason to come
The salmon, the golf, the skiing, the archipelago.
Guests search for the activity. We write about it.
Bengt and Karin, 67
A cottage in Småland. No appetite for computers.
Plain language. No code.
Mikkel, 41
Three cabins in the Norwegian fjords.
Direct booking — and an eye on the neighbours.
Sofia, 36
A two-room flat in Copenhagen at DKK 1,100 a night.
Her own name, so the fee doesn't bite.

What you get
Nine things. One price.
All nine are included in the subscription, and there is only the one price. The engine writes an article a week and translates it into four languages; you press yes. The calendar pulls your booked weeks from Airbnb every hour, so you never keep two. And GEO means an AI can recommend your house. And six more things. No modules, no add-ons.
An article every week
About the area, the fishing, rainy days. Written and translated. You press yes.
Change anything by writing
“Make it lighter.” “Move the reviews up.” The site edits itself.
Colours from your own house
Pulled from your photos. That's why the site looks like your house.
We watch the neighbours
What they write — and what they forget. You write that.
We know what people search for
No guesswork. Real searches. That's SEO: being found on Google.
So AI can recommend you
GEO is SEO for ChatGPT. We do it. You do nothing.
The calendar looks after itself
Booked weeks are pulled from Airbnb every hour. Never two calendars.
Three numbers, no charts
Visits. Enquiries. And how many came from an AI answer.
Nothing goes live without you
Every change waits until you've seen it.
How it works
The whole setup is one conversation.
- 1
You send your link
That's all.
- 2
We build the site
Your photos, your guests' languages.
- 3
You go live
On your own domain.
The rest runs by itself.
Articles are written and translated, the calendar updates, the neighbours are checked. You read and press yes.
Here's my listing: airbnb.com/rooms/…
Thanks — 24 photos imported. Should the northern lights get their own page?
Yes. And make the home page lighter.
Done. Have a look before it goes live.

Your overview
Your admin: three numbers and a short list.
Three numbers, and no graphs to decode. Visits says how many found the house. Direct bookings says how many skipped the fee. The third number nobody else shows you: how many came from an AI answer, meaning guests who asked ChatGPT or Google about a holiday home and got yours. Under the numbers is this week's list from Gestr. You press yes or no.

Can I have my own website and keep Airbnb at the same time?
Yes, that is the point. Gestr builds the site on your own domain and retrieves the calendar from your Airbnb listing, so you do not have to maintain two calendars. Your listing can continue to bring new guests. If your own site sends a guest to Airbnb and the guest books, messages you or saves the listing there, Airbnb records that activity. Airbnb says this kind of engagement contributes to listing popularity, which can affect search ranking. It does not guarantee a better position, and a direct booking completed outside Airbnb cannot count as an Airbnb booking.

The man behind it
Why I'm building this
I rent out myself. A house I'm proud of — and a listing that looked like everyone else's.
So I built what I was missing: a site that is mine. Now we build it for you.
